A COLLECTION OF UNITED STATES AND FOREIGN CURRENCY The property described in the following 104 lots is notable for its extraordinary size and scope rather than its quality. We have discovered within this vast collection rarities from most of the major U.S. series; Federal currency (both large and small), Nationals, Colonial, Obsolete, Confererate and Fractional currency. These rarities include the sixth or seventh known Hillhouse Triple-signature 20-Dollar Silver Certificate of 1880 (Fr. 308), a new example of Fr. 162, two unlisted "diamondbacks", numerous hard-to-find Nationals and a host of other pieces undocumented in the current references. As we have stated, however, with some exceptions, the general condition of the notes is merely good to very good. For this reason most are offered in large lots and Spink America will not be able to provide details beyond those printed in this catalogue; it will not be possible to describe bulk lots over the telephone or to provide photocopies. Those interested in this fascinating collection must take advantage of our long period of public exhibition to discover its full scope and the precise grade of every piece within it. DEMAND NOTE
