A collection of five scrap albums compiled between November 1962 - December 1963, including a large selection of press cuttings, record shop receipts for Love Me Do, dated November 2nd 1962 and for Please Please Me dated March 27th 1963; various mementoes including an impression of Paul McCartney's signature taken from Fran Leiper's arm labelled Paul signed this on my right arm. I sellotaped over it so it woulden't smudge and this is how it came off..; a tiny piece of Paul McCartney's birthday cake [covered in sellotape], paper napkins, silver paper cake decorations and striped straws from McCartney's 21st Birthday party, June 18th 1963; Beatles fan club membership card and various printed hand-outs; a ticket for Juke Box Jury featuring the Beatles, December 7th 1963; and three Paul McCartney autographs, one on a piece of card torn from an Embassy cigarette packet, the other two on scraps of paper; an envelope frankmarked October 26th 1962 illustrated on the reverse with a cartoon drawing of a Beetle in Paul McCartney's hand inscribed Beatles; various letters from McCartney's cousin, Di and George Harrison's mother, Louise; a handbill for The Beatles at the A.B.C. Theatre, Blackpool, August 11th 1963, signed on the reverse by Freddie Starr; a souvenir concert programme for The Beatles Christmas Show, 1963; and related material in five albums and loose. Fran Leiper had been invited to Paul McCartney's 21st birthday party which was held at his cousin's house in Huyton near to her school Huyton College, however she had been unable to get away to attend and had been sent the cake and party souvenirs as consolation.
