An Irish inverted pear-shaped four-piece tea and coffee service in the 18th Century taste, each on a domed circular foot and with a chased frieze of arabesques, the teapot and coffee pot with leaf-capped rising curved spouts, ebonised wood double scroll handles and hinged covers with compressed sphere and artichoke finials, the milk jug and sugar basin with leaf-capped double scroll handles, import marks - height of coffee pot 10½in; a two-handled shaped and rounded oblong tea tray applied with a gadroon, shell and scrolling foliate rim, the ground chased with a broad frieze of arabesques surrounding a vacant cartouche and also incorporating several vacant scroll cartouches, James Dixon and Son, Sheffield 1911 - 30in overall; and a two-handled tea strainer on detachable stand - 283.75oz. gross.
