A Satsuma baluster jar and cylindrical domed cover with a karako and lion mask finial painted and gilt with a shaped panel of two boys pouring water into a jardiniere beside an official and attendant, the reverse with ladies on a fenced terrace with silk hangings and screens on a ground of ho-o, maple trees, birds and cloud scrolls, between formal borders -- 20½in. high.
