Album of sixty-three albumen prints, 2¼ x 3½in., to 9½ x 11¼in., two trimmed to oval, full morocco, ruled in gilt, titled in gilt on upper cover, 4to.; with another album of The Royal visit to India 1911-12 containing 228 gelatin silver prints and two albumen prints, various sizes, two signed Clifton & Co. in the negatives, decorative hand-painted designs and ink manuscript captions on mounts, half morocco, ruled in gilt, titled H. M. S. Medina 1911-12 in gilt on upper cover, oblong 4to. (2)

Lot Essay

The former with views of Calcutta, portraits of collies, porters, a snake charmer and a Burmese woman, the latter including portraits of King George, his ship and crew visiting Bombay, Delhi and the Delhi Durbar.
