WHISTLER, Laurence. A 3pp. letter, dated Little Place, Lyme Regis, Dorset, 8 Jan. 1956, to John Arlott, declaring: "I should love to do a pair of decanters for you," and discussing both the design and the choice of decanters in some detail: "I should like, if you approve, to engrave one with fireworks, the other with fountains. Both would be eminently suitable subjects for my kind of engraving which consists of line and dot principally, & both, I think, are gay and festive ...."
