He is put out by people assuming he lives at Trinity. "I suppose nothing can be done about it now, but it is not the case that I live at Trinity. When people hear this, they assume that I must have quarrelled with my wife, which is the opposite of the (?) truth ...."; in the later letter, dated 41 Queen's Rd., Richmond, Surrey, 26. 3. 51, he confirms he is returning "the two books you sent duly autographed" and welcomes a return gesture: "I am sure Conrad would be overjoyed to get a book on cricket from you.
