The inscriptions on the reverse of the panels state : John Arnold Wallinger (father of 2 boys, related to General Gordon ) : William Wallinger, died 1798 aged 29 : Joseph Arnold Wallinger, died 1827 aged 58, married A. M. Gordon, whose nephew was afterwards known as Chinese Gordon.
