An Edwardian composite gadrooned and spiral-fluted inverted pear-shaped tea and coffee service chased with flowers and scrolling foliage, comprising: a coffee pot, teapot, gilt-lined milk jug and gilt-lined sugar basin on gadroon and scroll-decorated domed circular bases, the teapot and coffee pot with chased leaf-capped rising curved spouts, polished wood double scroll handles and spiral-fluted domed hinged covers with artichoke finials, the milk jug and sugar basin with leaf-capped double scroll handles, the last item a tea kettle with chased leaf-capped rising curved spout, fixed wooden handle and spiral-fluted domed hinged cover with artichoke finial, on a stand pierced, cast and chased with flowers and scrolling foliage and on elaborate scroll and shell feet, with a burner, the teapot, coffee pot and sugar basin Charles Stuart Harris, London 1903, the milk jug Charles Stuart Harris & Son, London 1908, the tea kettle and stand, probably Shepheard & Co., London 1906 - height of kettle on stand 13¼in. overall, 141.25oz. gross.
