cf. David Hanks, The Decorative Designs of Frank Lloyd Wright, E.P. Dutton, New York, 1979, p. 76, fig. 66 for an illustration of a similar design by Wright in the E. Arthur Davenport House, River Forest, Illinois, ca. 1901. Andirons of this design were also used in the Evans and Bradley Houses, and according to Hanks, "may have been used in other houses of the period, but they are not recorded in known publications".
