A Russian ten-piece punch set, comprising: a moulded tapering circular two-handled punch bowl on spreading circular foot applied with cabuchon gem stones and engraved with facsimile signatures, the body chased with a broad frieze of beligerent bogatyre within a mountainous landscape, a frieze of stylised fir trees and flowerheads below, a frieze of stylised foliage and lozenges above, with presentation inscription, monogram and date 1909 - 10¼in., the eight cups with similar chased decoration and also engraved with monograms - 3¼in., the ladle with similar chased decoration and conforming monogram, the handle with elaborate hook terminal, maker's initials M.T., Moscow 1909 - 1917.
