An unusual oval brass Fireman's Badge or Horse Brass, obverse engraved with mounted knight in armour pointing with sword in one hand and fire officer's speaking trumpet held in other hand, followed by a man on crutches, number '18' below, reverse engraved 'Fireman No. 5, Engine No. 1', with suspension ring at top, probably circa 1800 --3¼in. wide, 4 3/8in. high
