A Fukugawa fan shaped box and cover moulded in relief and painted and gilt with shaped panels of phoenix roundels and flowerheads on a key fret pattern ground, butterflies among chrysanthemums, peonies, flowerheads and scrolling tendrils, all above a band of further butterflies and flower sprays to the base (small chip to rim of cover) -- 7¼in. wide, blue bud mark.
