A pair of Satsuma double gourd vases, each painted and gilt with various fish among aquatic plants and leaves below crustaceans to the shoulder and a band of stiff leaves to the foot (some gilt rubbing) -- 6¼in. high, inscribed Hamada Shire, made by Uesaka (?), impressed seal mark.
