An Arita baluster jar painted and gilt with shaped panels of peonies, hydrangea and prunus issuing from brushwood fences on a ground of scrolling chrysanthmums and leaves, the shoulder with dragons chasing flaming pearls among peonies -- 17½in. high, circa 1700.
