An unusual mid-19th century bronze percussion cannon, in three stages with turned moulding at the muzzle, octagonal breach (percussion nipple missing), the rear swelling to form a carved handle and cast either side with an opening for the lock mechanism (now missing), on brass peg swivel, the whole on later turned wooden plinth. -- diameter of bore 1 3/8in. (3.5cm), overall length 30in.(76cm).
