With masts, aerials, halyards and deck details including anchors and winches, cleats, bollards, deck rails, companionways, main secondary and anti-aircraft armament, bridge with open bridge over with binnacle, binoculars, range finder, hose reels, lockers, life rafts, ship's boats, crane, torpedo tubes and much fine detailing. Finished in grey and mounted on wood.

Lot Essay

HMS Sheffield was built by Vickers Armstrong Ltd. and launched 23.7.1936, -- principle dimensions ; LOA : 591½ ft. Beam : 64ft. Draught : 21ft. Armament : 9 x 6in, 8 x 4in AA and 18 x 40mm guns. She was awarded twelve battle honours during the war (only surpassed by two other ships) including the Bismark action, and was finally scrapped in 1967.
