A three-piece compressed pear-shaped tea service in the mid 19th Century taste, on openwork shell and scrolling foliate feet and with elaborate chased and stamped floral, foliate and scalework decoration, the teapot with a leaf-chased rising curved spout with birds head terminal and domed hinged cover with finial modelled as a bird with outstretched wings, the milk jug and sugar basin gilt-lined, each piece engraved with a monogram, Mappin & Webb, Prince's Plate - height of teapot 7½in.
