A George II shaped oval inkstand on claw feet and with a moulded rim, fitted with an unmarked inkwell with glass liner, an unmarked pounce pot and a taperstick on domed circular base and with waisted socket, maker's mark indistinct, possibly Edward Aldridge, London 1750, the taperstick with a lion passant and an indistinct mark only - 6¼in.
