Edward Newling with warmest regards, for his encouragement and appreciation of my work. Muirhead Bone Nov. 15 1936," with loosely-inserted, AN ORIGINAL PEN, INK AND WASH DRAWING, signed by Bone, of the port of Santander, showing a passenger ship leaving harbour with tugs, and the bustling life of the port continuing in the foreground, 9 x 5 in. (230 x 125 cm.), and 2 rapid sketches, also signed by the artist on a sheet of "Arts Club, Dover St. W.1" note paper, of "Threshing near Zamorra" and "Distant Calabrian Mountains", plates, some coloured, and illustrations by Bone, original calf (lightly rubbed), t.e.g. (2)
