On the vignette title the name "Weller" on the signboard appears with a "V". The first 3 plates in Part I are signed by Seymour, the fourth is unsigned. The 3 plates in Part II are signed by Seymour. Part III has the 2 plates signed "Drawn and etched by R.W. Buss". The 2 plates in Part IV are indistinctly signed "Nemo" and not "Phiz". The plates in Parts I to XII have no captions. But the covers to Parts I-III do not carry the names of the illustrators, Seymour and Buss, and some addresses are lacking.
