A William IV compressed inverted pear-shaped teapot and matching gilt-lined cream jug, each on a domed base with applied leaf-capped shell and scroll feet and each chased with fluting, flowers and scrolling foliage surrounding vacant cartouches, the latter possibly erased, the teapot with ornately-chased rising curved spout, similarly-decorated scroll handle, applied rocaille rim and domed hinged cover with flower finial, John Edward Terrey, London 1835 - hight of teapot 7½in., 46.50oz.
