A large Italo-Corinthian pottery amphora with everted rim and flaring foot, the body painted with red and white bands and incised with fish-scale pattern, the shoulder decorated with two incised friezes of a panther and a lion, each between a swan and an owl(?), the details in added purple, with 'fish-tail' foot -- 17¾in. (45cm.) high, late 7th-6th Century B.C.
