A Romano-British dragonesque fibula, the serpentine body with a head at each end, eyes recessed for inlay, the long ears and nose inlaid in yellow, the central area of the body divided into eight panels, inlaid alternately with bright red and yellow enamel, pin intact -- 2½in. (6.4cm.) long max, early 2nd Century A.D.
