Lots 110 - 122 are by Aurel Richter (1870-1957). Born in Budapest, Richter studied at the Stuttgart Academy from 1906 - 1908. He then lived in Germany and France, mixing in artistic circles with Braque, Leger and Lhote. His great friends were Oscar Schlemmer and Hugo Scheiber with whom he painted and travelled. Music, particularly jazz, was also a great passion. Unfortunately the majority of his artistic oeuvre was destroyed during the War in 1940.
