"THESE D--- PEACE ADVOCATES REQUIRE MORE POMP OF WAR"
A newsy letter to his sister describing activities at Fort Myer and his passion for horseback riding. "[My wife] Beatrice went to Camp Humphries To day to see Mary Post...I stayed home and worked a map problem with infinite worry to my self. Allahmande [his horse] fell on me over a jump the other day but I did not get hurt...Tell mama to send me a cake for both Christmas and my birthday...I am gradually getting on to the new arrangement of this typewriter so I can write a little faster..."
