A pair of ovoid vases painted and heavily gilt with panels of warriors and officials in river landscapes on grounds of floral and geometric designs, the necks with ho-o and dragon roundels (minor rim chips, some gilt rubbing) -- 14½in. high, signed Dai Nihon.
