A pair of 18th century reverse glass paintings, one depicting Aphrodite and Ares, the goddess with a pair of doves, the warrior god with plumed helmet at his side, the couple held in an embrace and recumbent on a cloud, the other with Amphitrite and Triton with attendant nereids astride a dolphin -- 10in. x 14in. (25½cm x 35½cm.), in giltwood and ebonised frames.
