An unsigned pencil drawing by George Bullock at Tew Park, Great Tew, Oxfordshire, and inscribed in his hand 'Plan of Stove in Dining Room and Oak Study', appears to confirm the attribution to Bullock of this distinctive design, first made in the exhibition catalogue, The Fashionable Fireplace, 1660 - 1840, Temple Newsam House, 1985, p.30, No. 22.

Four similar examples were sold at Great Tew Park, Christie's House Sale, 27-29 May, 1987, lots 4,27,48 and 155, the design illustrated p.39.
