Several features of this sideboard point to the documented work of Bevan and Talbert as executed for firms such as Gillows of Lancaster and Marsh and Jones of Leeds, notably the use of chevron inlay, dog tooth mouldings, short columns, ebony dot inlay and crocket finials.
See Jeremy Cooper, Victorian and Edwardian Furniture and Interiors, 1987, plates 247, 252-3, 263 and 268 for examples exhibiting these features, by or attributed to both these designers.
