A Chinese red lacquer circular box and cover carved with bats among clouds surrounding a Shou symbol within a border of key-pattern, with further bands containing foliate roundels and fruit sprays on a cell-pattern ground (chips, cracks and old restoration) -- 8in diam; and another circular box and cover carved with three figures on pavilion terraces before mountainous landscape within foliate cartouches (small chip, some wear) -- 7¾in diam, 18th century and 19th century.
