An Imari trumpet vase with widely flaring neck painted in underglaze blue, coloured enamels and gilt with bijin at leisure in an interior below blinds tied up with tassels, the neck with karashishi crouching among peonies on a ground of kiku flowerheads and scrolling foliage (restored) -- 24½in. high, 17th/18th Century.
