An Arita double gourd vase moulded to one side with an indented shaped roundel containing flowerheads and leaves, the reverse with a moulded roundel containing a cockerel and hen, painted and gilt overall with sprays of peony, prunus, roses and leaves, ormolu-mounted on tripod stand and with attached chain cover -- 11in.high overall, the porcelain circa 1700.
