A pair of EVERLAST boxing trunks worn by Sylvester Stallone in the classic 1970s film. The red and white satin boxing trunks are constructed with an elastic waistband, the sewn on manufacturers tag EVERLAST MADE IN U.S.A. The waistband of the trunks are stretched and the rear right leg is slightly soiled from wear.
Sylvester Stallone's performance as "Rocky Balboa", the down and out boxer from Philadelphia who makes it big, propelled him to film stardom and spawned numerous ROCKY sequels. Together with the original donor tag from the 1977 Channel 13 Auction in which the trunks were sold and, a newspaper clipping which discusses the auction. Accompanied by the black and white photograph of the actor which was auctioned with the trunks, signed in blue ink in the upper right hand corner, Best Wishes, Slvester Stallone, (misspelled)--10 x 8 in.
