A baseball cap worn by Tom Hanks in the film; the maroon hat is sewn with a BUBBA GUMP FISH CO. logo patch on the front, over the brim. On the back of the hat, an additional patch is sewn, signed in black ink, God Bless! Tom Hanks. Accompanied by a letter of authenticity on Paramount Pictures stationery which states, Please accept this document as a letter of authenticity that this "Forrest Gump" hat was signed by Tom Hanks on October 14, 1993 in Beaufort, South Carolina. Joanna Johnston, the costume designer had the patch sewn on one of the few original hats being used during production...the hat was then autographed by Mr. Tom Hanks for Beaufort Y.M.C.A... Together with a color poster from the film signed by Tom Hanks, Sally Field, Robin Wright, Gary Sinise and Mykelti Williamson, with an additional letter of authenticity on Paramount Pictures stationery--39½ x 26½ in.--framed.
