A shield used in the film produced by the creators of King Kong, starring Nigel Bruce, Randolph Scott, and Helen Gahagan. The wood, leather, and natural fiber shield has red, white, and black tribal designs; together with the "sacrificial knife" used by the cannibals in the scene in which actor Nigel Bruce was tortured. The white painted wood handle was fashioned to look like human bone and has a black painted wooden blade; together with a black and white still from the film--shield, 50½ in. high, knife 17 in. (2)
