A Meissen Marcolini globular teapot and flattened cover with rose bud finial, the body with branch-moulded handle and spout terminating in flowering leaves, richly gilt, painted in colours with two bucolic river scenes in gilt oval cartouches surrounded by ribbons, leaves and flowers, the cover painted with a recumbent lion (slight wear) blue crossed swords and star mark, circa 1780 -- 4¼in. high
