A Vienna porcelain Neo-Classical chocolate-ground urn and conical cover with richly gilt artichoke finial, the body applied with scroll handles with leaf terminals and painted in colours with a frieze representing the Rape of the Sabines and its Aftermath, above raised gilt scrolling foliage issuing from gilt masks, the lower section and foot with bands of stylised leaves, the cover painted with four pale blue-ground medallions en grisaille with classical figures (damages) blue beehive mark, mid 19th century -- 18½in. high
