A 19th Century "Butterfield"-type brass octagonal dial, the underside stamped with the names and latitudes of ten continental cities and towns, the compass with variations scale, calculated for latitudes 43°,4°,49° and 52°, with spring loaded bird gnomon, in fitted case - 3¼in(8.3cm)long; a test gauge with enamelled dial and fusee chain drive; and a brass equinoctial ring dial, unsigned with sliding pin-sight and ring suspension - 3 5/8in.(9.2cm)diam.
