An Imari square cannister and flattened cover painted and gilt with alternating panels of jardinieres of chrysanthemums and peonies and prunus issuing from pierced rockwork, all on a ground of further flowerheads and leaves -- 7¾in. high, underglaze six-character mark to inside of cover.
