A Kutani cylindrical jar and domed cover with a rat and nut finial on a raised base supported by four further rats, painted and gilt with a continuous band of confronting ho-o on a ground of geometric patterns, the neck with a band of cranes in flight (cover damaged and chips to rat feet) -- 16½in. high.
