A French gilt-bronze and gilt-embellished blue porcelain mantel clock, the movement striking on a single bell, with circular chapter- ring enclosing a painted centre decorated with putti and indistinctly inscribed, in shaped oval case, the pediment cast with a female portrait mask flanked by acanthus and surmounted by a two-handled urn painted with a courting scene, the detachable lid surmounted by a pineapple finial and flanked by grotesque mask handles, the oval base cast with acanthus, on toupie and block supports, the frieze cast with a panel of acanthus, (the frieze panel cracked and the detachable lid with defective glazing), 19th Century, 21in. (53cm) high; and a pair of similar side ornaments, with lion mask and drop handles (one lid badly damaged and one socle chipped), 14¾in. (37.5cm) high (3)
