Lot Essay
This is a smaller version of the cooker shown on the enamel sign (lot 134). Originally hired out by the South Surburban Gas Co. Taken out of service from a house in Plumstead 1990.

The 'Challenge' gas cooker by the Cannon Iron Foundry with one tap rail with six brass taps feeding four boiling burners and two for the grill, drop-door oven, original plate rack and splash back with enamel tile effect side plates, with enamel door plate, grey enamel sorround to the hob plate and other finish in black iron, on original stand.
