Two embossed and pierced paperlace valentine cards, both stamp marked Dobbs, one with envelope centre with chromolithographic details entitled 'A True Sweetheart', opening to reveal a heart-shaped sweet, the other with a centrally placed cracker, the verse above reads 'Cupid's Cracker./Through every gale/Of fortune's weather/Be always sure to pull/together' (laid down on card), 7 x 4½in., c. 1840.
