A victorian valentine card in two layers, stamp marked Kershaw, the first layer of embossed, pierced paperlace with gilded details, the gauze centre applied with silvered details and an embossed hand-coloured rose, the second layer of cameo embossed paperlace depicting an amorous couple embracing on a hillock with sheep at their feet, the centre with applied silvered details and a chromolithographed open book with the words 'My Aim is Your Heart', lifting to reveal a verse underneath; and another cameo embossed card with a satin centre laid down on paper, 7 x 4¾in., c. 1840-60.
