Two pierced paperlace valentine cards, both stamp marked Kershaw, one with pierced paperlace centre surrounded by a hand-coloured garland of flowers, joined at the base by two crossed golden quivers and a bow and arrow, the hand-written verse reads 'The/tender heart/which here I send/Does on thy/faithful/love depend', surmounted by a hand-coloured burning heart, 7 x 4½in., c. 1840-60.
