A cameo embossed pierced paperlace valentine card edged in gilt, stamp marked N.E.V. CO.', depicting a church within a heart surrounded by cherubs and flowers, resting upon a gilt paperlace star, 5 x 3¼in., c. 1860-70; An embossed paperlace valentine card, stamp marked Taft, the centre applied with a paper cracker and chromolithographic scraps, the interior applied with the printed verse 'I am your friend/And now with this/I wish to send/A loving kiss', in contemporary envelope, 4 x 2½in., c. 1870; and 8 other cameo embossed and pierced paperlace cards and an embossed envelope, with original one cent postal stamp, postmarked 'Nashua.
