A collection of five valentine cards with hand-coloured lithographed centres and printed verses, depicting amorous couples in landscapes, one verse reads 'May this brief Valentine which now I send/Recall to memory your absent friend/And yonder church remind you of the day/When holy wedlock shall our love repay/Till next we meet or next I write again/Dear friend farewell -- yours ever I remain', 9½ x 7½in, c. 1840.
