A George III mahogany bed post attributed to Thomas Chippendale of fluted turned form with plain square base; and a section of its pair - 95in. (241.5cm.) high.

Although there is no documentary evidence to support this attribution, it is probable that Chippendale supplied all the four poster beds along with the couch beds for the best bedrooms or "Lodging Rooms" at Harewood House. (2)
