An Imari baluster jar and domed cover with shishi lion finial painted and gilt with alternating panels of cranes among prunus and pine and chrysanthemums attached to canes on a ground of flowerheads and scrolling foliage, the shoulder with petal shaped panels of peonies (cracked) -- 25½in. high, circa 1700.
